Handling

• The heat developed during diluting or dissolving is very high — use cool water, below 27 °C (80 °F), when diluting or dissolving.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not swallow.
• Wash thoroughly after handling and do not eat, drink or smoke while using this product.
• Keep the container tightly closed.

• Hands: gloves chemically resistant to this material — neoprene, PVC (vinyl) or nitrile
• Eyes: safety glasses with side shields; chemical goggles for dusty operations or when handling solutions
• Body: clean, body-covering clothing
• Feet: protective footwear
• Respiratory: an approved particulate respirator (HEPA/N95) in dusty or misty atmospheres
• Ventilation: general ventilation is sufficient for most operations; local exhaust may be necessary for some

Storage

Store in a dry place. Protect from atmospheric moisture, keep the container tightly closed and keep separated from incompatible substances.

Incompatible materials

Heat is generated when mixed with water or aqueous acids, and spattering and boiling can occur. Contact with zinc forms flammable hydrogen gas, which can be explosive. Attacks metals in the presence of moisture and may release flammable hydrogen gas. Also incompatible with bromide trifluoride and 2-furan percarboxylic acid. Hygroscopic — avoid moisture.
